The first meeting of the project managers and coordinators and the project preparation committee was held with the Steering Committee of the Executive Office of the Yemeni Women's Union on Wednesday 24/1/2018.
Headed by Fathia Mohamed Abdullah, chairwomen of Yemen Women Union and Chairperson of the Steering Committee of Projects, appraising the efforts made by the directors and coordinators of the projects in the Federation in implementing the activities for the year 2017
She praised the activities ofYWU branches in the implementation of projects and administrative and field achievements and directed everyone to the integrated work in a team spirit, exchange experiences, implement the procedures and transform the outcomes of the meeting into practical projects and programs.
Wafa Ahmed Ali, Head of Training and Projects Department and member of the Steering Committee, reviewed the training and project plan for the year 2018, explaining the work mechanism of the Training and Projects Department in reporting and plans for the projects of the Coordination Committee.
The head of projects stressed the intensification of efforts in the next phase to work on emergency response and relief as required by the needs in the field
During the annual meeting, the model was presented for the preparation of progress reports and the presentation of summaries of the objectives and achievements of the projects implemented for 2017 and the coming years (Emergency Response Project Cholera - Protection Services Project and the Referral Network for Displaced Persons and Their Host Communities - Al Samoud Project - Women's Access to Justice Project - Protection Project for Vulnerable and Displaced Groups - Project on Combating Gender-Based Violence - Livestock Replacement Project - Food Assistance Project for the Most Vulnerable Families - Strengthening the role of women in the wish for peace and reconstruction
