Yemen Women Union celebrates International Women

YWU organized today a speech and art event on the occasion of International Women's Day March 8 under the theme "Time isn owt: rural and urban activists change women's lives towards peace"
On this occasion, Latifa Ahmed Hamza, Vice Chairwomen of YWU, congratulated all the women of the world and Yemeni women, especially in the countryside and urban areas, for their outstanding role and support in light of conflicts and armed conflicts to preserve the family and national identity.
She stressed the role of YWU since its inception in advocating for women's issues and raising awareness of their legal, social and health rights and targeting its programs to help and empower weak and poor women and build their capacities.
The celebration of International Women's Day was observed on 21 March in various branches of YWU
The ceremony included a number of technical and review paragraphs and a presentation by Robertaj on the activities of YWU ,implemented in various governorates of the Republic.
At the end of the event, which was attended by the Head of the Training and Projects Department at the Executive Office and the Chairwomen of YWU / Amanat alasemah Branch, the representative of the United Nations Population Fund, Oxfam, the FAO Representative, representatives of other international organizations, civil society organizations, youth initiatives and a number of media workers, During her years of service.
And honoring young men and women of the economic empowerment program for their efforts in developing their skills and life skills.
The President of the Distinguished Family Organization also honored the leadership of the YWU in the Executive Office
Finally, the handicraft exhibition of the centers of YWU was opened.
