with the support of UNFPA under the slogan "Security of our future"

Yemen Women Union - Executive Office Sana'a announces an invitation
to the short film industry under the slogan "Awareness of Violence Reduction"
aimed at short film makers and media production companies.

This invitation is being presented by the Yemeni Women's Union to the category
of short film makers and media production companies as it seeks to engage civil
society actors to contribute to spreading awareness to reduce gender-based violence.
YWU focuses on very important topics (child marriage, female circumcision, women's
denial of inheritance, depriving children of education, impeding your child is not a reason
to deny education, not harassing women, some words are more severe than punches).
Where short filmmakers and media producers facing gender-based violence issues in the
community will be given priority in funding.
Short film makers and media production companies are invited to use their networking relationships to facilitate the implementation of the activity. It is necessary to mention the implementation and coordination mechanism to be followed in the project form.
• This invitation is open to short film makers and media production companies
• Maximum Funding: $ 1000 per film
• Deadline for submission: 22 May 2018
• The expected date of implementation during the period from 26 May 2018 to 26 June 2018
• The duration of the short film does not exceed 5 minutes
• Outputs: short film + promotion + poster
