Providing Cash and Agricultural support to highly vulnerable agricultural dependent and acutely food insecure families

Mawza district of Taiz governorate and Al-Qafar district in Ibb governorate are among the districts that seriously suffer from food insecurity. Therefore, a joint and urgent support from international and local organizations in partnership with local authorities and relevant stakeholders is badly needed and efforts shall be exerted to enhance food and agricultural security. In this context, YWU has been implementing various programs and projects that contribute to improving both agricultural and non-agricultural livelihoods interventions in which comes the project “Providing Cash and Agricultural support to highly vulnerable agricultural dependent and acutely food insecure families in Mawza district of Taiz governorate and Al-Qafr district of Ibb governorate 2020 with support from the Yemen Humanitarian Fund YHF. The project aims to improve the access of the most vulnerable households to food security and agricultural assistance to improve livelihoods in the districts of Mawza nd Al Qafr in Taiz by providing conditional cash and (agricultural kits) within the framework of its primary mandate to support vulnerable families in order to meet their basic needs of food and livelihoods in the short term.
